  1. Drop your images onto the box, click it to choose them, or paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V.
  2. Put the images in order by dragging their handles or using the arrow buttons. Sort A–Z orders numbered files correctly.
  3. Choose the page size (A4, Letter or fit to each image), the orientation and the margin. The preview shows how page 1 will look.
  4. Click Convert to PDF to download one PDF with a page for each image.

Why put images in a PDF?

Many applications, from visa forms to expense systems and university portals, ask for a single PDF rather than a handful of photos. A PDF keeps pages in a fixed order, prints at a predictable size and opens the same way on every device. Converting your images into one document is also the quickest way to “scan” paperwork with a phone: photograph each page, drop the photos here, and you have a tidy multi-page PDF.

Page size options explained

OptionPage sizeUse it for
A4210 × 297 mm (595 × 842 points)Documents for most countries outside North America
Letter8.5 × 11 in (612 × 792 points)Documents for the US and Canada
Fit imageEach page matches its imageScreenshots, artwork and photo albums with no white border

With A4 or Letter, each image is scaled to fill the space inside the margins while keeping its proportions, and centered. Auto orientation gives landscape images a landscape page and portrait images a portrait page, so nothing ends up tiny in the middle of the sheet. Choose Portrait or Landscape to force every page the same way, which looks neater when you will print double-sided. Fit image sizes each page to its picture at 96 pixels per inch, the same scale your screen uses, plus any margin you choose.

Image quality and file size

JPG and PNG files are placed into the PDF using their original data, so there is no second round of compression and no loss of quality. That also means the PDF is roughly as large as your images added together. Other formats, such as WebP, GIF and BMP, are first redrawn by your browser: pictures without transparency are stored as high-quality JPG, and images with transparent areas as PNG. Phone photos often store their rotation as a hidden tag; the tool applies it so portrait shots do not appear sideways.

Making the PDF smaller

A dozen full-resolution phone photos can add up to 40 MB or more. If you need a smaller file, shrink the photos first with the Image Compressor or Image Resizer; around 2000 pixels on the long side is plenty for a readable A4 page. Alternatively, convert first and then run the PDF through Compress PDF.

Tips for document photos

  • Shoot from directly above in even light, and crop away the table around the page with the Image Cropper before converting.
  • Name files 01, 02, 03… and use Sort A–Z to get the order right in one click.
  • iPhone HEIC photos cannot be read by most browsers; set the camera to “Most Compatible” to save JPG, or convert them first.
  • Need it the other way around? PDF to JPG turns PDF pages back into images.

Frequently asked questions

Does converting JPG to PDF reduce image quality?

No. JPG and PNG images are embedded with their original data, so they look exactly as they did. Other formats are converted at high quality.

Can I combine several images into one PDF?

Yes. Add as many images as you like; each becomes one page, in the order shown in the list. Drag them or use the arrows to reorder.

Which page size should I choose?

Use A4 for most countries and Letter for the US and Canada. Choose Fit image when you want each page to be exactly the size of its picture, with no white border.

Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF is built by your browser on your own device, so your images are never uploaded.

Why does my photo appear sideways in other tools but not here?

Phones often save a rotation tag instead of turning the pixels. This tool reads that tag and draws the photo upright before adding it to the PDF.
