How to use the Extract PDF Pages
- Drop your PDF onto the box or click to choose it.
- Click the thumbnails of the pages you want, or type them, for example 1, 4-6, 10-end. Quick-select buttons pick all, odd or even pages.

- Click Extract pages to download the result.

Extracting versus splitting versus deleting
These three tools overlap, so it helps to pick the one that matches how you think about the job. Extract is for when you know which pages you want: “give me pages 3, 7 and 12 as a new file.” Delete PDF Pages is for when you know which pages you do not want. Split PDF is for cutting a document into several consecutive parts at once. All three leave your original file exactly as it was.
Everyday uses
- Sending only the signature page of a contract back to the other party.
- Pulling one chapter, a single invoice or a specific statement month out of a large export.
- Collecting the odd pages of a scan so they can be merged with separately scanned even pages.
- Saving each page of a multi-page form as its own file for a portal that wants one upload per page.
Selecting pages efficiently
For a handful of pages, clicking thumbnails is quickest; a selected page gets a colored outline and a check mark. For long documents, typing is faster: 1-10 selects the first ten pages and 30-end selects everything from page 30 onward. The quick buttons handle common patterns. Invert swaps selected and unselected pages, which is handy when it is easier to click the few pages you do not need.
Selected pages always appear in their original order in the output. If you need a different order, extract first and then rearrange the pages with Organize PDF.
One file or one file per page?
| Option | Result for pages 2, 5 and 9 |
|---|---|
| One PDF | A single 3-page file named yourfile-extract.pdf |
| A PDF per page | A ZIP with yourfile-page-2.pdf, yourfile-page-5.pdf and yourfile-page-9.pdf |
Quality and privacy
Pages are copied into a fresh document together with exactly the fonts and images they use. Nothing is rasterized, so text remains searchable and images are untouched. Because the new file contains only the selected pages, information on the other pages is not hidden somewhere inside it, which makes extraction a safe way to share part of a sensitive document. The file’s title and author carry over; bookmarks and fillable form behavior do not.
Tips
- Page numbers refer to the position in the file, starting at 1, not to numbers printed on the page.
- Thumbnails load as you scroll, so you can start selecting before a long document has fully rendered.
- To turn the extracted pages into images instead, use PDF to JPG.
Frequently asked questions
Can I extract non-consecutive pages into one PDF?
Yes. Select any combination, for example 2, 5 and 9, and choose One PDF. The pages are saved together in their original order.
Does extracting pages change my original PDF?
No. The tool creates a new file from the selected pages and leaves your original exactly as it was.
Will the extracted pages keep their quality?
Yes. Pages are copied with their original text, fonts and images, so they look identical and text stays selectable.
Can I save every selected page as a separate file?
Yes. Choose “A PDF per page” and you get one PDF for each selected page, bundled in a ZIP download.
Is the PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Selection and extraction happen in your browser, so the file stays on your device.
